13th German Diversity Day 2025: ZBT celebrates with lectures and discussions

With a keynote speech, a keynote lecture and interactive formats, the ZBT set an example for diversity, equal opportunities and respectful cooperation.

On German Diversity Day, the ZBT invited its employees to a varied program of information, exchange and encounters. One of the highlights was the visit by Lamya Kaddor, a member of the Bundestag from Duisburg, who emphasized in her keynote speech: “A resilient democracy needs a fair immigration society”.

Afterwards, Magdalena Kowalczyk, Head of Competentia NRW – Kompetenzzentrum Frau & Beruf Niederrhein at the City of Duisburg, spoke about “Racism and women – intersectional challenges in professional life”.

The joint “Diversity Bingo” was also a fun way to explore and discuss the diverse identities and experiences in society.
With this event, the ZBT aims to open people‘s eyes to different realities of life – and show how intersectional diversity enriches our working world.

The German Diversity Day has been initiated annually by Charta der Vielfalt e.V. since 2012 and takes place in companies and institutions. The day provides a platform to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and an appreciative, unprejudiced working culture.

Special thanks go to the Diversity Working Group at the ZBT for its organization and ongoing commitment.
