The Fuel Cells and Stacks department at ZBT is involved in the development of fuel cell components. As part of a project, a lightweight bracing system for a fuel cell stack is to be developed, manufactured and tested for aviation applications. Among other things, conventional aluminium end plates are to be replaced by topology-optimized 3D printed lightweight end plates with the help of FEM simulations.

 

Your tasks

Supporting cooperation in the following areas:

  • Development, production and testing of a lightweight tensioning system
    • FEM simulations
    • 3D printing
    • CAD design
    • Construction of fuel cell stacks
    • Cell preparation work
  • Scientific research and market research
  • Processing of production orders in conventional prototyping

 

Working with us

Your profile

  • Ideally completed technical training in one of the above-mentioned areas or knowledge of CAD, FEM simulation and 3D printing
  • Confident handling of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Strong interest in teamwork
