Hydrogen Week 2025 – ZBT opens laboratories on Open House afternoon

During Hydrogen Week 2025, visitors were able to take a look behind the scenes of our research, with exciting insights into laboratories, the test field and current projects.

Hydrogen will play an important role in many areas of our future energy system. The technologies for this are ready.

Here at the ZBT, we are primarily working on innovations to increase efficiency, reduce production costs for low-cost mass production and extend the service life of components and systems.

During the nationwide HYDROGEN WEEK, we gave interested people an insight into our hydrogen research.

  • Dr. Theresa Schredelseker gave an overview of hydrogen as an energy carrier and the work of the institute.
  • Michael Schoemaker and Salman Fettah then showed and explained what is being worked on in their laboratories.
  • And Stefan Bever and Lutz Volmering explained the activities on our hydrogen test field.

We were delighted with the great response and the positive feedback.

We will definitely be back for Hydrogen Week 2026, which will take place from 20.-28. June 2026.
