HeavyDuty Congress – Symposium on Hydrogen-Based Mobility

At the annual HeavyDuty Congress in Duisburg, experts gather to learn about and discuss fuel cell and other hydrogen-powered propulsion systems used in road and rail freight transport, as well as in construction equipment, garbage trucks, street sweepers, and buses.

The decarbonisation of heavy-duty transportation is a key element of the energy transition. Establishing a viable hydrogen mobility system requires close coordination among vehicle development, component and systems engineering, infrastructure, and political and economic conditions.

In the fall of 2023, the ZBT and the_cH2anceTransformation Hub jointly hosted the first HeavyDuty Congress (HDC). Since then, experts from business and industry have been gathering annually at the HDC in Duisburg to learn about the latest developments, exchange professional insights, network, and gain inspiration for their own projects.
