ZBT Signs the Duisburg Charter for Work-Life Balance

The ZBT is committed to helping employees balance work, family, and personal life, and has signed the Duisburg Charter for Work-Life Balance.

In doing so, the ZBT is setting an example for a modern, respectful, and forward-looking workplace and supporting the joint efforts of businesses and institutions in Duisburg.

Work-Life Balance as Part of a Sustainable Work Culture

Balancing different areas of life is becoming increasingly important for employees and employers. Flexible and appropriate policies can help support employees at different stages of life while also enhancing an employer’s appeal.

“Balancing work, family, and personal circumstances is, for us, a central component of a sustainable and forward-looking work culture. By supporting the Duisburg Charter for Work-Life Balance, we aim to further strengthen this commitment and, together with other stakeholders in the Duisburg region, create favorable conditions for employees.”

Working Together for a Sustainable Future of Work in Duisburg

By signing the charter, the ZBT joins the Duisburg Alliance for Work-Life Balance. The charter was adopted by the City of Duisburg, the Lower Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Industry , and the Entrepreneurs’ Association in collaboration with other stakeholders. Key focuses include fostering a corporate culture that supports work-life balance , addressing individual needs throughout different life stages, and facilitating exchange and networking among the participating organisations.

For the ZBT, signing this agreement also represents a commitment to a work culture in which professional development and personal life circumstances can be balanced. As a research and development center and an employer in Duisburg, the ZBT aims to contribute to a sustainable work environment in the region.
