New Opportunities for In-Situ Materials Analysis at the ZBT
The system allows for the reliable identification of crystalline phases, the detailed characterisation of crystal structures, and the precise investigation of structural changes in materials, coatings, and catalysts.
A particular highlight is the high-temperature chamber for temperature-dependent in-situ XRD measurements at temperatures up to 1,000 °C. This allows phase transformations, changes in crystal structure, and thermally induced aging processes to be monitored directly during defined heat treatments. In this way, the ZBT provides new insights into material behavior under realistic thermal conditions.
