Successful launch: MAT4HY.NRW collaboration platform – new materials for hydrogen technologies

In MAT4HY.NRW, ZBT together with other institutions aims to improve the value chain in electrolyser production by combining basic knowledge of electrochemistry with material development, production and system integration.

Together with the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Ruhr University Bochum, the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences and the Institute for Environment & Energy, Technology & Analytic (IUTA), we at ZBT want to use MAT4HY.NRW to interlink the building blocks of the value chain in the production of electrolysers. To achieve this, basic knowledge of electrochemistry must be combined with material development, production and system integration.

ZBT scientist Moritz Pilaski presented the state of the art in the field of AEM electrolysis at today’s kick-off event and then discussed the current challenges in the workshop.
ZBT employees Pascal Sous and Theresa Schredelseker moderated the workshop on PEM technology.
Our Scientific Director Harry Hoster was also there and used the event to make many new contacts and intensify old ones.

Combining the kick-off event with the H2Raum Talk was a great opportunity to bring together even more players from politics, science and SMEs on the topic of hydrogen.
