H2 quality: Comparison of hydrogen sampling systems and strategies

As part of the MetroHyVe2 project, the first comparison of all European hydrogen sampling strategies for hydrogen filling stations was carried out at ZBT.

In cooperation with SINTEF, ENGIE, Air Liquide and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), four sampling systems (two parallel systems and two serial systems) were compared at our HYDROGEN TESTFIELD in Duisburg. A total of six samples were successfully taken, which are now being analysed in the NPL laboratories.

With regard to the worldwide validation of sampling, the comparison is an important step in the right direction and fulfils the requirements for H2 quality assurance at HRS (hydrogen refuelling stations).
