ZBT congratulates its neighbours: NETZ celebrates its tenth anniversary

The ZBT congratulates its neighbouring institute NETZ on its 10th anniversary. The NETZ focusses on nanomaterials for energy applications.

The ZBT – The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Center congratulates its neighbouring institute, the NanoEnergieTechnikZentrum, or NETZ for short, on its 10th anniversary.

The NETZ is part of the Centre for Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Scientists from the fields of physics, chemistry and engineering research new materials for energy technology applications and develop scalable processes for their production and processing. They are focussing on the development of sustainable methods for every step in the process chain: from the synthesis of nanostructural materials to the integration of these materials into finished components and parts. The aim is to understand the formation and growth processes of nanomaterials and to use this knowledge to produce specific materials with customised properties. At NETZ, this expertise is used to develop suitable processes through to industrial development.

In his congratulations, our Scientific Director Harry Hoster emphasised the importance of new materials for the next generation of electrolysers and other electrochemical systems. “We look forward to continuing our joint work for a sustainable energy future!”
