Hydrogen, fuel cells, electrolysis - these are important building blocks of the energy transition. Top-level research and development for our clean energy system of the future is taking place in Duisburg. This is happening above all on the campus of the University of Duisburg-Essen at ZBT - The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Center.

During the nationwide Hydrogen Week, ZBT invites all interested people to visit, introduces itself and its work and shows some of its laboratories and the hydrogen test field with the hydrogen test refuelling station.

The event starts at 13:30 on 25 June 2025, with an informative presentation followed by a tour of the institute at 14:00 and again at 15:30. And if you like, you can chat to the scientists and take a look at the institute's hydrogen-powered fuel cell company cars.
