The aim is to help operators meet quality standards and drive standardisation work forward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"news-img-wrap\">\n<div class=\"outer\">\n<div class=\"mediaelement mediaelement-image\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n                            <div class=\"intro-grid__text\"><p class=\"bodytext\">The new\u00a0<b>HyQuality Europe (HQE) project<\/b>\u00a0aims to understand the quality of hydrogen fuels in Europe and enable\u00a0<b>hydrogen refuelling station<\/b>\u00a0(HRS) operators to meet the\u00a0<b>quality standards<\/b>\u00a0required for fuels. In a targeted and representative mass market study, the hydrogen quality at HRS will be analysed. The results will provide data on the occurance classes of various impurities at European hydrogen refuelling stations, which operators can use to create a\u00a0<b>cost-effective quality assurance plan<\/b>\u00a0for risk assessment. This can replace a comparatively expensive prescriptive approach.<br \/>\nThe HQE project aims to provide HRS operators with a cost-effective quality assurance approach, thereby helping to\u00a0<b>reduce the price of hydrogen<\/b>. Indirect objectives are to increase consumer confidence, to increase the incentive for fleet operators to switch to hydrogen vehicles, and to enable the widespread adoption of hydrogen vehicles and refuelling infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">In addition, the project will advance quality monitoring at hydrogen refuelling stations using\u00a0<b>online analysers<\/b>. For this purpose, three selected HRS will be equipped with analysers. In order to expand the capacity of analyses in accordance with the applicable ISO standards, a suitability comparison of ten hydrogen analysis laboratories will also be carried out.
