Technical Services<\/h1>\n

The Technical Central Services of the ZBT ensure the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure and provide significant support for the progress of our research and development projects.<\/h4>\n

The Technical Services department brings together the electrical engineering, workshop, IT, building services and safety teams, who work closely together to create a safe and efficient research environment. They ensure that our technical equipment and IT systems function reliably, that tools and materials are available for experiments and that all safety standards are met. In doing so, they lay the foundation on which our researchers can develop innovative solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Electrical engineering<\/h2>\n

The electrical engineer and their team are responsible for the smooth electrical operation of the ZBT and its laboratories and workshops. The department also supports the research departments in the planning and construction of their test benches and ensures that the applicable legal regulations are complied with. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Workshop<\/h2>\n

In the two large workshop halls of the ZBT, the workshop manager and his staff use milling machines, water jet cutting systems, sandblasting cabinets, etc. to manufacture the complex individual parts required for our research and test bench construction. Modern technical machines enable innovative workpieces to be produced. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Building services<\/h2>\n

Building services are responsible for the smooth operation of the ZBT. In addition to classic caretaker duties, the work of various external trades and the inspection of various technical systems and safety equipment are also coordinated here. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Information technology<\/h2>\n

Security<\/h2>\n
