ZBT has extensive expertise in the development, testing and analysis of hydrogen distribution and refuelling technologies, hydrogen quality, hydrogen safety and standardisation.<\/h4>\n

Hydrogen Quality Analysis<\/h2>\n

With the analytical methods it has developed, ZBT is able to determine hydrogen quality in accordance with EN 17124:2022. In addition, Hy-SaM, a CE-certified system for sampling at hydrogen filling stations, has been developed. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Studies, RCS and Safety<\/h2>\n

In theoretical work and studies<\/b>, ZBT addresses issues relating to hydrogen distribution concepts for connecting industries and mobility (including buses, trucks and inland waterway vessels). We advise customers and project partners on safety, licensing and approvals for the construction and operation of hydrogen facilities (including HRS, filling stations, test benches). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Counselling<\/h2>\n

Theoretical work and studies cover topics such as hydrogen distribution concepts<\/b> for connecting industries and mobility, analyses of regional hydrogen sources and sinks for establishing a (regional) hydrogen economy<\/b>, and systemic, technical technology analyses<\/b>. In addition, life cycle costing<\/b> (LCC) and life cycle assessment<\/b> (LCA) of different technology paths are carried out. <\/p>\n

ZBT advises customers and project partners on issues relating to design, safety, approval, certification and permits for the construction and operation of hydrogen facilities (including test benches, production and filling stations). Furthermore, innovative methods for H2<\/sub> leak detection<\/b> are being developed and qualified, and automated processes are being developed. In addition, workshops on standardisation, approval and certification<\/b> are held on a regular basis. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Studies<\/h2>\n

To support the continuation of standardisation<\/b>, ZBT employees are actively involved in the NAGas AA H2 Technology (German mirror committee of ISO TC 197), NAGas AA Fuel Quality, and in the working groups ISO TC 197 WG 24 Protocol Development, ISO TC 197 WG27 H2 Quality, ISO TC 197 WG28 H2 Quality Control, and ISO TC 197 WG33 Sampling.<\/p>\n

As a member of NAGas \u2018Hydrogen Technologies\u2019, ZBT actively participated in the preparation of the statement on the \u2018General Administrative Regulation (AVV) for the Implementation of the Ordinance on the Quality and Labelling of Motor Fuels and Fuels in Germany\u2019 in accordance with 10. BImSchV \/ DIN EN 17124:2019.<\/p>\n
