Full of Energy: “Fuel Cells” Successful at Dragon Boat Fun Regatta<\/h1>\n

The ZBT dragon boat team shines at the regatta in Duisburg’s inner harbor with a strong 8th place out of more than 30 teams. This year’s Fun Cup has once again lived up to its name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the 23rd\u00a0Duisburg Inner Harbour Regatta<\/b>, the dragon boat team from ZBT - Center for Fuel Cell Technology once again shone with a clean performance. The team spirit strengthened by the joint breakfast in the team camp and the bodies strengthened by the constant supply of isotonic drinks, the “Fuel Cells” achieved a respectable\u00a0eighth place<\/b>\u00a0out of more than 30 teams\u00a0in the Fun Cup<\/b>. We think that’s more than respectable and are a little proud. And apart from that, the “fun” in Fun Cup worked, because it was great fun for everyone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Motivated Paddlers<\/h4>\n

In the ZBT boat was a colourful mix of long-standing and fresh employees, experienced paddlers and dragon boat newcomers – supported and trained by the\u00a0Wanheimer Kanu-Gilde<\/b>. The two intensive\u00a0training sessions<\/b>\u00a0with head coach Marion Br\u00f6ckels on Duisburg’s Masurensee (Lake Masuria) paid off on race day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Because a race day like this is not without its challenges: the three preliminary heats of 250 meters each required concentration, technique and full effort. And the\u00a0final over 500 meters<\/b>\u00a0with a flying start and turnaround demanded everything from the athletes once again. Fortunately, the weather played along: Pleasant temperatures and a steady tailwind provided ideal conditions for the race.<\/p>\n
