Supporting scientific research by ZBT<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The project “Development and test of a public hydrogen fuelling station of latest standard”, funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Union in the frame of the “Ziel2”-programme was successfully finished in December 2014. In the joint project, performed together with Air Liquide Deutschland GmbH and Wuppertal Institut, ZBT was responsible for the scientific research. Different concepts of fuelling stations with respect to hydrogen supply and delivery were compared and analysed concerning arising emissions, energy demands and economics. For determination of real data a measurement concept was prepared for the fuelling station erected by Air Liquide in D\u00fcsseldorf. On the basis of available measurement data ZBT developed adapted balancing tools for energy and CO2<\/sub>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Codes and standards play a prominent role in the case of erection and operation of a H2<\/sub>\u00a0fuelling station as well as for the specification and monitoring of hydrogen as fuel. In the frame of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0project\u00a0rules and standards\u00a0<\/span>were identified which could be consulted due to analogy observation (e.g. to natural gas fuelling stations) or presumption of conformity. Currently a uniform corpus of legislation is not available in Germany and the European Union, respectively, so that the requirements for a fuelling station and its safety features and equipment will be defined in individual cases. Hence, there is a significant demand of reconcilement within the EU and in the international range, which has been exemplified in the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
