Indian business and science delegation at the ZBT<\/h1>\n

It’s always nice to have visitors! We recently welcomed an Indian business and science delegation to the ZBT. The exchange focused on the upscaling of electrolysis, hydrogen applications and fuel cell technology. A visit to our hydrogen test field was of course also part of the program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What is the state of the art in\u00a0electrolysis<\/a>,\u00a0hydrogen<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0fuel cells<\/a>? What\u00a0infrastrukture<\/a>\u00a0and logistics will be required for a hydrogen-based\u00a0energy system<\/b>? We recently discussed this with an Indian business and science delegation here at the ZBT.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

ZBT science communicator Dr. Theresa Schredelseker first gave an overview of\u00a0current developments<\/b>\u00a0in the field of hydrogen in Germany and Europe and introduced the institute and its facilities. She used project examples to provide insights into our work. ZBT scientist Deborah Rapp supplemented the presentation with our activities in\u00a0standardization work<\/b>\u00a0(RCS – Regulations, Codes and Standards).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

ZBT scientist Lukas Willmeroth then gave the guests a tour of our\u00a0hydrogen test field<\/b>\u00a0and explained the\u00a0hydrogen test filling station<\/a>, among other things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Many interested questions from the guests about raw material requirements,\u00a0hydrogen in mobility<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0ammonia<\/a>, among other things, quickly got the conversation going. An interesting side aspect: as most water heating in India is electric, it will be much easier to switch to renewable energies in this sector than in Germany with its many gas boilers.<\/p>\n

The visit was organized by the\u00a0Indo-German Energy Forum<\/a>\u00a0(IGEF-SO) Support Office, the\u00a0Indo-German Chamber of Commerce<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit<\/a>\u00a0(GIZ).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
