Full of energy: \u2018Fuel Cells\u2019 successful at the Dragon Boat Fun Regatta<\/h1>\n

The ZBT dragon boat team shone at the regatta in Duisburg\u2019s inner harbour, securing a strong 8th place among more than 30 teams. This year\u2019s Fun Cup once again lived up to its name. <\/h4>\n

At the 23rd Duisburg Inner Harbour Regatta<\/b>, the dragon boat team from the ZBT \u2013 Centre for Fuel Cell Technology \u2013 once again shone with a solid performance. With team spirit bolstered by a shared breakfast at the team camp and bodies fuelled by a steady supply of isotonic drinks, the \u2018Fuel Cells\u2019 achieved a remarkable eighth place<\/b> out of more than 30 teams in the Fun Cup<\/b>. We think that\u2019s more than impressive and are rather proud. And apart from that, the \u2018Fun\u2019 in Fun Cup really came into its own, as everyone had a great time. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The ZBT boat was manned by a colourful mix of long-serving and new staff members, experienced paddlers and dragon boat novices \u2013 supported and trained by the Wanheimer Canoe Guild<\/b>. The two intensive training sessions<\/b> with head coach Marion Br\u00f6ckels on Duisburg\u2019s Masurensee paid off on race day. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Because a race day like this is no walk in the park: the three 250-metre heats demanded concentration, technique and maximum effort. And the 500-metre final<\/b>, with a flying start and a turn, then demanded everything from the athletes once again. Fortunately, the weather played along: pleasant temperatures and a steady tailwind provided ideal conditions for the race. <\/p>\n
