National Hydrogen Week: Open get-together and more in Duisburg and the region<\/h1>\n

During Hydrogen Week, from 10 to 18 June 2023, free events for everyone will take place across Germany. In Duisburg, the ZBT is hosting an open hydrogen get-together. Further events in the region. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hydrogen <\/b>is seen as the key to the energy transition<\/b>. Hydrogen is intended to be used for steelmaking and to power heavy vehicles. Clean solar and wind energy can be stored in hydrogen and transported over long distances. Hydrogen is intended to replace natural gas and be used as a fertiliser for plants. During Hydrogen Week<\/b> (WDW), which takes place nationwide from 10 to 18 June 2023, the extensive topic of hydrogen will be presented in an accessible way. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Across the country, there will be lectures, expert discussions, factory and laboratory tours, marketplace events and activities. An overview is available on the WDW website<\/a>. The ZBT is participating in Hydrogen Week with an open hydrogen get-together<\/b> and has teamed up with the City of Duisburg<\/b>, the Hy.Region.Rhein.Ruhr<\/b> association and the Port of Duisburg<\/b> for this event. <\/p>\n

14 June | Open hydrogen get-together in Duisburg<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hydrogen enthusiasts and those interested in the topic will meet on 14 June 2023 at the Finkenkrug student pub in Duisburg Neudorf. Everyone is welcome<\/b> \u2013 from hydrogen novices to experts! To mark Hydrogen Week, there will be short, entertaining talks on the future of hydrogen, the Rhine-Ruhr hydrogen region, hydrogen applications in Duisburg and hydrogen (and its derivatives) in the Port of Duisburg, designed to spark discussion. Afterwards, there will be time for a chat about hydrogen and networking. <\/p>\n

Participation is free of charge<\/b>, but registration is requested. Please register or direct any questions to Henning Winter at h.winter(at)zbt.de<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Since last year, those interested in hydrogen have been meeting regularly at the Duisburg Open Hydrogen Round Table for informal discussions at the Finkenkrug. The Hydrogen Round Table is organised by the ZBT \u2013 Centre for Fuel Cell Technology in Duisburg. The ZBT is one of Europe\u2019s leading research institutions for fuel cells, hydrogen technologies and energy storage. <\/p>\n
