Hydrogen Week 2026: Open House Afternoon at the ZBT<\/h1>\n

As part of the nationwide Hydrogen Week 2026, the ZBT is opening its doors and inviting interested visitors to get a glimpse into hydrogen research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hydrogen will play an important role in many areas of our future energy system. The technologies for this are already available \u2014 and at ZBT, we are working to make them more efficient, more cost-effective, and more durable. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Hydrogen Has Power<\/h2>\n

Starting at 1:30 p.m., we welcome interested visitors \u2014 both the general public and experts \u2014 to our institute on the Duisburg campus of the University of Duisburg-Essen. <\/p>\n

At 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., we\u2019ll hold presentations on hydrogen<\/strong> as an energy carrier and on our work, followed by a guided tour of key research and development areas<\/strong> at the ZBT: through the main laboratory, past our fuel cell and electrolysis test benches, along the new ammonia facility and the Hy-Lab hydrogen quality laboratory, all the way to our test field, where visitors can see storage facilities, our hydrogen test filling station<\/strong>, and many other technical installations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

In between sessions and until 6:00 p.m., you\u2019ll also have the opportunity to chat with our researchers and exchange ideas over cold drinks and snacks.<\/p>\n
